Western Mass & Boston & the inside of the 495 belt are like two completely different states.

I'm fine, thanks.

There were two confirmed tornados that moved through Springfield, which is an hour or so south of me. One moved through mid afternoon and the second moved through around 7pm. I've heard that one touched down 40 minutes north of where I live, and the second storm that passed over this evening did have a tornado warning associated with it. I did see some rotation. Don't know if it ever spawned a tornado though.

Wild weather to be sure. The first tornado to move through Springfield was very unusual because it was long lived. Most tornados (of which we only get 2-3 yearly) are short lived. They say it may have been and EF2 or possibly even EF3.

Glad everyhting is OK with you.

I just read about the tornadoes in the news; they're were saying 4 people were killed :(

Bizzare weather this year for sure. The last few days in my area have been an absolute heat wave; 95 degrees one day with humidity pushing the "feels like" temperature to somewhere around 100 or so.

Good to know you missed the bullet DF.

Glad you made it out ok. You guys may have heard about the massive tornado that hit Joplin, MO last month. I lost a former colleague in that storm and have been back in Missouri for a few weeks helping displaced families. Moral of the story: nature sucks.

Yes it does...we had tornadoes through here and our home was one of the few untouched.

Hey Satty, always good to see you posting. Nature can indeed suck. I really feel for those who live in Joplin, its a bi eerie since I've been through there once before a few years ago. Girlfriend has some family there but they're alright, thankfully.
