April 9, 200619 yr Yeah, the inspiration is from the E-Type. But, car designers are really out of ideas these days... I meant the steering only. Edited April 9, 200619 yr by ToniCipriani
April 9, 200619 yr Buick has been doing a Jaguaresque version of their cars for nearly 20 years. Sadly for Jaguar, Buick has been doing the better version for the past 10.
April 9, 200619 yr Yeah, the XJ and Park Avenue shared some similarities... The new XK ads are pretty good, btw.
April 9, 200619 yr The only real similarities I see on the steering wheels is that the spokes are similar and both have buttons on the spokes. The part that houses the airbag is not similar at all. I wish the old XK's interior was as good as the new one's is. That'd be a totally kickass car; however, the old XK's interior is very average and the new XK's interior is not nearly as sexy as the old one.
April 9, 200619 yr As an owner of that body style Riviera....I am flattered that you would think Jag drew inspiration from my car...but dude......seriously you must be joking right?
April 9, 200619 yr Yeah, the inspiration is from the E-Type. But, car designers are really out of ideas these days... I meant the steering only. The Jag wheel looks better in my opinion--less "bloated"
April 9, 200619 yr wow did the terrazza interior change or something? I actually kinda like it.. as for inspiration? I guess I can see a tiny bit of riv, I can also see a bunch of tarus lol
April 9, 200619 yr Yes while the grille's have a similar oval shape....that is about the only similarity between them....and maybe a little of the coke bottle sides....but thats about it...IMO....I need to see a rear shot of the Jag and maybe a straight on profile view to see any other similarities or lack thereof
April 9, 200619 yr The last gen Riv has some terrific surfacing & transitionals going on- the catwalk element is truely unique in the modern era. The jag in comparison is quite pedestrian from a design standpoint.
