June 11, 201114 yr Might it be from the bend in that tierod? That would bring the tire in too close on that side
June 11, 201114 yr Author Yes, bent inner tie rod on the Shadow. Probably bent from the force of the impact with a snow bank up in ME over the winter. I got to look at it for the first time, since my brother's home for the summer. New one's on order, gonna get an outer and an inner. Pretty gnarly hit. Force of the impact knocked the battery out of the box and took out the transmission lines, among other things.
June 11, 201114 yr Author It's not dead yet! Actually a month ago we we thought it may have bit the dust. Died in ME and wouldn't get going again, just before that it was sputtering apparently. I wasn't there, but my brother's friend seemed to think something had gone wrong inside the engine. It gets towed back here after school was over just to find out there had been a wiring issue with the alternator that was sucking so much power that the car didn't have enough to ignite the spark plugs.
