June 18, 201114 yr Honestly - None. GM has left something desired for me. It just feels the GM vehicles have lost soul.
June 18, 201114 yr Hmmm...what has come out new since the BR? I was thinking the Camaro, but it's intro predated the BR by a few months... the FWD appliances seem competitive, but they aren't my thing so I can't get excited by them. The CTS wagon and coupe, maybe?
June 18, 201114 yr CTS wagon and coupe, YES! Camaro convertible also.... The wagon got delayed because of the bankruptcy, otherwise would have been released prior to June 1, 2009 - the official bankruptcy date.
June 18, 201114 yr Author CTS and Camaro variants aren't really what I meant. I was thinking "all new" vehicles. All I can think of is the Volt - and it seems like it was around long before BK since we were so exposed to it. Can't think of anything else.
June 18, 201114 yr As far as Mopars (since the thread wasn't specific about GM), I'd count the Charger and 300C...and the GC, though most of the work on it was done before BK, the launch was after..
June 18, 201114 yr Nothing in particular. And that is a good thing, because GM needs to impress the mass-market before enthusiasts.
June 18, 201114 yr Nothing from GM has impressed me since the G8 GT. I'd like to love the Camaro, but I still can't get past the ergonomic nightmare it is, compared to the packaging efficiency of the smaller 1st gen it was based on.
June 18, 201114 yr hopefully the NG corvette will, or at least the engine it'll have. maybe the regal GS? the pontia... oh, wait. the oldsm... nope the satur....nope lol awwww
June 18, 201114 yr I think the only vehicles that have any real post-bankruptcy influence are the Sonic and Malibu. Even those are likely to have development time that stretched back before the $h! hit the fan. So really, I don't think we've seen any 100% post-bankruptcy vehicles yet.

You are probably right...even upcoming vehicles that are further out like the ATS and XTS were likely started before June 1 '09...

June 18, 201114 yr Author Nothing in particular. And that is a good thing, because GM needs to impress the mass-market before enthusiasts. I don't buy that bit of spin. Even "mass-market" entries should be at least somewhat impressive within their segments. I'm hearing crickets within GM's halls.
June 19, 201114 yr Not much impressed in the years leading up to bankruptcy either though and there were a lot of duds. Really too early to judge.. Check in 3 years time.
June 19, 201114 yr Maybe we will see better in MY 2014 or 2015. Right now, GM is in a form of survival mode.
