July 3, 201114 yr is a 2-spd auto/283 "worthy" of 'SS' badges ? Were the early Nova six-bangers? The SS badge never tells the whole story as the details vary from model to model, and year to year. That said, the 283 was a great little V8! ...and the PG a drag racing staple.
