August 1, 201114 yr I am not sure if i would prefer a cruze Eco manual or a new 012 Passat S manual........ hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm weigh in folks, this is a tough one....... (disclaimer: believe me there is no purchase imminent)........(I would probably be looking lease anyways)
August 1, 201114 yr Depends whether you want the extra space or extra MPG... I think it's basically that simple.
August 1, 201114 yr Author yes.... and no......... the cruze is a fun car. the passat has a little bit of luxury going for it, but not as much sport. i consider this an odd but interesting comparison, considering how close the MSRP is.... the big diff is in fuel economy although i would not be surprised if the Cruze has slightly higher insurance costs.... August 1, 201114 yr Or, for $h!s and giggles, you can get a brand new Avenger Heat V6 (283-hp yea!) for $18K. That's a deal I saw in the paper this morning. Crazy.
August 1, 201114 yr Author what's crazier........a new 9-5, yes NEW 9-5, already advertised at 10k off sticker........30k....i need to see if that's a demo..... actually, a new avenger heat as you mention is worth a look in a huge way.....that car will still get nice mpg and probably scoot.... August 2, 201114 yr what's crazier........a new 9-5, yes NEW 9-5, already advertised at 10k off sticker........30k....i need to see if that's a demo..... actually, a new avenger heat as you mention is worth a look in a huge way.....that car will still get nice mpg and probably scoot.... Yeah, there are dealers selling new base 9-5s for $27K... Buick Regal 2.4 money.
August 3, 201114 yr You guys DO realize that about 97% of those bull$hit prices in the "paper" are just "get you in the door" tactics, right?! Ever heard the saying "if it sounds too good to be true...." Perfect Example: a local dealer has some finer-than fine print stating all their prices reflect $3000 cash / trade. Honestly, not to be a d!ck but don't be so naive! There's NO free lunch. Edited August 3, 201114 yr by Sixty8panther
