August 17, 201114 yr This is what mercedees was trying so hard to emulate; how to appeal to the American market.
August 17, 201114 yr The Imperials of the 1950s and 1960s were all kinds of epic... I'm not sure if I'm big on the red/green "Christmas" colour combo though.
August 17, 201114 yr If you look VERY closely, you can see a life-size 2011 Ford Fiesta SE hatch parked on the hood ornament.
August 17, 201114 yr Cool...the dark green reminds me of an old diecast toy Imperial I have of that era..one thing I've wondered before about the stainless steel roof on models like this (or the Caddy Eldo in the '80s)--is the outer roof skin SS or is it an SS panel overlaying the regular roof skin (like a vinyl top)?
August 17, 201114 yr ^ The Impy and the '70s-80s Eldos were overlays. Only one that maybe wasn't was the '57-58 Eldo Brougham- not sure there. The Impys had the same contour in the roof whether you had the 'stainless trim' level ("Crown"??) or not.
