September 24, 201114 yr Automotive paint schemes you like.... Loved the old red white and blue of the old AMC stuff.... I am still a sucker for 1950's two tone....and Ford Crown Vics. They look great as mild customs too! Perhaps my all time favorite car/color combination is the iris color Pontiac offered on the 1965 GTO! In my opinion, 65 GTO rates just behind the 1958-1962 Corvettes as just about the ultimate GM car ever.
September 24, 201114 yr Of course... but Plum Crazy is my favorite color on a car. It looks delicious. Also:

I could have bought it for tyhree grand in 1984, in really decent shape. I'd hate to think of what that thing would be worth today.
September 24, 201114 yr Funny, Chris- today I was at the swap meet and was only motivated to shoot 4 different vehicles. This was one of them:

Anyway, the Plymouth version of that color was called "InViolet Metallic", but a rose by any other name... hmm.. I can imagine what that car must've looked like. sounds like a peach. er...plum, rather. Edited September 25, 201114 yr by Turbojett
September 25, 201114 yr I've always been partial to solid colors, myself. But I still intend to do this: And painted SS stripes defy my dislike of stripes in general: The white roof thing also works:
September 25, 201114 yr That "intended" Camino scheme above works nicely. I never cared for multi-colors that ignore/defy body lines... but with cars like the BMW higher up- there's just not anything in body lines to work with. This however...:
September 25, 201114 yr Author The Buick pic is fantastic...and yes the Camino needs to be two tone when it is done. It just needs to be... rough version of the Camino in about that color scheme lives in a garage down by Circleville...I see it every now and then. Can't wait for that ruck to get done....
