I am still a sucker for 1950's two tone....and Ford Crown Vics.

They look great as mild customs too!

Perhaps my all time favorite car/color combination is the iris color Pontiac offered on the 1965 GTO!

In my opinion, 65 GTO rates just behind the 1958-1962 Corvettes as just about the ultimate GM car ever.

Believe it or not, I find 1970's two tone kind of cool for the Era...

When I was in high school I went to church with a guy who had a 70 Road Runner 44o six pack...we had a lot of fun with that car...it was plum Crazy purple. I could have bought it for tyhree grand in 1984, in really decent shape. I'd hate to think of what that thing would be worth today.

Funny, Chris- today I was at the swap meet and was only motivated to shoot 4 different vehicles. This was one of them:

whoa. it's probably about as much as a new Challenger SRT8 now if it's still in good condition. ah, what could have been.

Anyway, the Plymouth version of that color was called "InViolet Metallic", but a rose by any other name...

hmm.. I can imagine what that car must've looked like. sounds like a peach. er...plum, rather.

I've always been partial to solid colors, myself.

But I still intend to do this:

And painted SS stripes defy my dislike of stripes in general:

The white roof thing also works:

That "intended" Camino scheme above works nicely.

I never cared for multi-colors that ignore/defy body lines... but with cars like the BMW higher up- there's just not anything in body lines to work with.

This however...:

The Buick pic is fantastic...and yes the Camino needs to be two tone when it is done. It just needs to be...

rough version of the Camino in about that color scheme lives in a garage down by Circleville...I see it every now and then.

Can't wait for that ruck to get done....
