Cheers or Jeers: 1965 GMC Ambulance

This vehicle is in a collection of 26 that the current owner has been working on for 20 years. It is being sold in as-is condition in an estate liquidation sale on here. It has been garage kept, started and driven a short distance every three months.

This one is close to balthazar, I think.

Not thinking that 305, 351, 401 and 478-cubic-inch V6 line of engines are race material nor that big Bambulance either Just too big to hide that thing

The other neat thing about this ambulance is that in Jersey, it would get the NF99999 plates... No Fee.

The NF plates are something of a mystery... took awhile before I figured out what NF was.

If it was registered to be used as an ambulance or something related, I would imagine it would be. Plenty of private companies have NF plates for vans shuttling around senior citizens. But keep in mind, I know very little about the NF plates.

All of the fire, rescue, and squad vehicles at my fire department and at others in Burlington County seem to have the NF plates... I'll have to look at the private ambulance transport companies to see what plates they have next time I see one (which is usually daily if I'm looking). I would assume a collector of fire apparatus would not be eligible for such a plate though (only if the vehicle was in active service).
