That '57 Bonneville is to die for! Absolutely my favorite Pontiac of them all (okay, I know that's not true, but it definitely makes the top 5 list!). The '73 Grand Am is also a gorgeous car! Thanks for sharing

For some reason I am IN LOVE with that '57... To me, it is the ultimate Pontiac because it was THE FIRST Pontiac performance car...

But, if I had the money it would certainly be a tough choice.

The Pontiacs are amazing but there are so many incredible cars that it makes my head spin... I wrote up a 1,100 mile SHOWROOM fresh 1994 Impala SS and a SEMA Cobra yesterday.

j/k... the Bonnie, the Grand Am and Trans Ams are fantastic...my favorite is probably the blue w/ blue interior '74. My brother had a '74 Formula 400, same color scheme...alas, it was a rusty Ohio car before it went up in flames.

It's a dream come true in a lot of ways... Hell, part of the stress of my job is self imposed because I feel SO obligated to represent these amazing cars at the level they deserve.

I've brushed off and fine tuned my technical writing skills. Now I'm trying to inject a bit more passion into the write ups and not be as boring. Example: IMO, the Bonneville write up is informative but too dry. The Grand Am write up is closer to what I'm trying to achieve now. (And the more recent stuff like that 60 Bel Air you saw is even better)

We do a lot of 'investing' with cars, so that explains the prices. This is certainly some of our top iron. We also have 25-30K cars.

We're predicting that the next hot market will be 2nd gen F-bodies, and we have amassed quite a collection (including a couple of survivor 76-80 Camaros)

Second gen F-bods have been on the rise for some time.

^ I'm not against that theory... but GM made a LO-OOOOT of 2nd gens. Still; premium, equipped models should bring good money.... but I'm still reeling that a '78 could possibly get $76K.

Do us a favor and post here if it sells, if you can post the sale price. Just trying to keep a cursory tab on the market.

But good GOD the '70 Ram Air 4 and the '73 455SD are to die for. And so are the '69 TA and the GTO (but it's a '66, brother ). Lovelovelovelovelove them.

You know, I have to admit that I've been secretly wishing GM might announce something like a single model Pontiac line. I.e. just produce a Trans Am or Firebird and bill it as the Pontiac Firebird available through Buick/GMC dealers.

I never put much thought into it, but given the rumors a while back about a "new Chrysler sold Plymouth Barracuda" I started cooking the idea more.

Probably wouldn't be too difficult to pull off... And you know they'd likely get a pretty good ROI on a flagship model like that. (as long as the business model wasn't outrageous)

At the auto show yesterday people were ALL OVER the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger.

I know of a guy who spent over 100k to restore a low-mile '77 or '78 gold SE Trans Am.

The car is beyond perfect, and only had about 20-some thousand miles on it to start with. He is the original owner.

Chevy Cruze Sunfire Edition make it in coupe and convertible.
