Cheers or Jeers: 1971 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight Ambulance

Here is a very nice and very unique, 1971 Oldsmobile 98 Ambulance built by Cotner-Bevington in great condition inside and out. The very cool Ambulance is the real deal that was once in service as a real Ambulance through the early 70's. It recently came out of a classic car museum where it was on display for many years. The car only has 55K original miles on it and is all original except for one repaint several years ago. It has working emergency lights, spot lights and gurney in the back. This is one very cool conversation piece or unique car show piece.

It's loaded with the following equipment:

  • 455ci V8 Engine (#'s Matching)
  • Automatic Transmission
  • Factory Air Conditioning
  • Power Steering
  • Power Brakes
  • Wide White Wall Tires
  • Emergency Lights
  • Working Bubble Light
  • Spot Light
  • Gurney
  • Radio Delete
  • Etc.....

This ambulance has a great look to it. It had one repaint several years ago in its original color scheme of white and red. The body is super straight and everything fits great. It has a solid, rust free body. The original chrome and trim is excellent. It is sitting on original wheels and hubcaps with like new wide white letter tires. This ambulance is a true unmolested beauty!

It has a beautiful, all original interior in it that still looks excellent. Everything works great in this beauty. The back of the car still has its correct gurney, cabinets and looks just like it did when it was in use in the 70's.

Mechanically, this little beauty runs and drives excellent. It has a very nice running #'s matching big block 455ci engine that is all stock. The engine compartment is very clean. This car always starts right up and drives excellent. It is a pleasure to drive and it could be driven anywhere!

This is a desirable collectable Ambulance that is only going up in value as time goes on. All in all, this is a beautiful car that needs nothing to drive and enjoy. This is a great investment that you could actually use. Please email or call with any questions. I can help with shipping quotes and arrangements. I also welcome International bidders. The wide whites look a bit stupid on this car, and the mystery stains (or wear marks) on the back floor aren't too pleasant, but the whole thing is pretty clean and a cool period piece. As long as the reserve isn't too much higher than the current bid, I give it a thumbs-up.

Not remembering what the bambulance was on Ghost Busters but that was the 1st thing I thought of

Wasn't it a '59 Cadillac?

Thanx , this was the height of laziness not even Googleing that car myself.
