December 9, 201114 yr ^ Rog, going to check out a '59 pickup at an auction in Chesterfield tomm. There's a panel truck there too, tho I am not positive on the yr/make from the pic. http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/photopanel.cgi?listingid=1290073&category=0&zip=08902&kwd=
December 10, 201114 yr Hmmm... should I bring 3 or 4 dollars & a trailer? '59 looks like something is bent in the cab area; the roof is slanting downward- front end impact?? '69 'bird is interesting, but too new for me. One of these days a B-59 will turn up at a local auction. Maybe. We'll see how busy a 2-wk before X-mas auction is. I love auctions.
December 10, 201114 yr Possibly Roger is already in the hospital after suffering from a pleasant stroke while typing in this thread. I love that 61 Burban
December 10, 201114 yr WAY too many nice vehicles there. Are you speaking of the '58 Nomad? It's cool. That '57 GMC Palomino is such a sweet truck. And the green '60 Willys wagon ain't bad, either! Edited December 10, 201114 yr by ocnblu

December 10, 201114 yr The '59 pickup in the auction I linked went for $180, but it was pretty rough. The '59 Apache panel truck was also rough, but it stirred the imagination pretty well: $400.
December 13, 201114 yr Roger's going to have a heart attack... Possibly Roger is already in the hospital after suffering from a pleasant stroke while typing in this thread. I love that 61 Burban Back from my "short trip" through the tunnel of light, where good ol' St. Peter informed me that while those trucks are "heavenly", they weren't up there with him behind those pearly gates But yes, that is a heart attack inflicting auction right there. First '57 Heaven sells off their '57 GMC Suburban Carrier pickup, now this collector too? He's famous among the '50s GMC pickup fans for not only his superb Suburban Carrier collection, but also preserving the one-off 1957 GMC Palomino show truck. Damn I wish I had a trust fund available right now!!
December 13, 201114 yr Cool..those remind me of some that I've seen on a ridge outside Prescott, AZ...about a dozen or so '50s-60s Chevy and GMC trucks in a row, incl. a '57 GMC panel..
