On a side note we've come a long way in 20 years, when a 5.0 liter V8 made 170 hp. Now a 4-cylinder makes that. Maybe 20 years from now a 4-cylinder will make 400 hp.

4-cyl Ecotec has already made 1000, IIRC.

Car is not 'too big' for a DD, I DD a 237" truck everyday in Jersey - BFD.

In my car days, I preferred my Pontiac DD's length immensely: 213". Just about perfect.

I would only consider Broughams/Fleetwoods from this generation which have the 368 Cadillac engine or the 350 Chevy motor.

Would be an interesting car to keep largely as is but upgrade to a later LT or LS engine...

And yet, I see these all over Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and even a couple in Manhattan.

Quite honestly, as someone who has driven a Caprice wagon as a NYC daily driver, there is no parking... regardless of the size of the car. I could put that wagon in some tiny spots... I'd say a smaller car gets you parking about 15% more often. If you park in a garage, it cost the same for a fullsize Caddy as a Chevy Spunk, er... Sonic.

You have to have something like a Smart to get a real parking advantage.

Not bad for a mid-sizer. I'd drive one as my daily... not one in that condition, that one is too nice. It would go well when I want something more than my compact Toronado.

Would be cool to have one just like that along w/ a black '89 Town Car as a pair.

A nice mildly built 472 or 500 would suit it just fine.
