Wierd...I wonder what the story is w/ the first one..looks like a mashup between a VW and a 4dr 57 Chrysler..and why is the name of a S. African bank on it? And the plastic hubcaps really are a great touch.. not.

That's the AnyCar, it was built to advertise Hanover Trust insurance.

Let's see... front fenders off a late model Javelin, doors off a Falcon, rear quarters off a 300, and greenhouse of an air-cooled VW Type 1. Not sure what the front end is from...

Interesting...

Given some of my choices in modern cars, that might work as my next family car.

Lincoln Mark grille, Impala signal lamps, Camaro lower grille, but I can't tell the headlight bezels or outer grille work from the grainy photo.

I think you've found your life's project, 'blu...you work in a bodyshop...

This thing reminds me of the Old Johnny Cash song I loved as a kid....

headlights & partial grilles look like '70 Duster 340 pieces.

Front fenders look like full Impala units with perhaps Javelin 'humps' grafted in.

There were two more AnyCars built by Barris for the same advertising campaign. (or four more depending on how you want to count the wagon.

For those whom the AnyCar isn't their style, might I recommend the Hard Hat Hauler with a 426 Hemi and three GMC 671 blowers?

For the aeronauticly inclined, there's also the Copter Rod:

The doors on the Anycar (color pic) appear to be '64-65 Falcon or Comet.

Yes they do...

The other cars, esp. Copter car, are cool also....

I remember hearing about these before. Very fascinating. I want to see at least one in person...lol.

Too bad they didn't use that Johnny Cash song ;).
