January 7, 201214 yr Cheers or Jeers: Weasel M29C Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item3f1234189d This was originally an M29C weasel. Serial number is 8254 with a production date of 1944. Someone took the original weasel body off the top and added this forward cab jeep body to it, so we now call it the Jeasel. Still has the original weasel drive train including the engine. Hydraulic clutch and steering cylinders were added to eliminate the mechanical originals. Steers off the twin sticks in front of the driver. Lights all work as do the electric wipers. In cab heater too! Engine runs so quiet you can hardly hear it. Rebuilt carb, new plug wires, plugs and distributor tune up. Tracks are in decent shape. A roller chain was added to each side of each track to ensure no breakage. The lower hull is all original weasel material, only the upper sheetmetal was removed. Weasel radiator etc. This would make a great toy for the outdoor enthusiast, or a great donor vehicle for another weasel project. No title as it is an offroad vehicle and is in no way road legal. Will be sold with a bill of sale only. I can arrange freight for the successful buyer to anywhere. Questions about the Jeasel can be directed to 952-440-8778 between 8 am and 8 pm CST. Payment must be made within 5 days of auction close. Domestic buyers will be required to pay by cash or cashiers check drawn on a US bank. If you are overseas, a wire transfer is the only accepted method of payment. Removal must be made within 30 days of auction end unless prior arrangements are made.
January 7, 201214 yr Dare accepted, and on the honor system, I did not laugh. Frankly, it looks like it was born that way.
January 7, 201214 yr Didn't laugh either I like it reminds me of a Antarctic rover I've seen in pix or I could be thinking of a movie or Lost in Space rover, though it has the Jeep body
January 8, 201214 yr I want one, wonder if I'd need special permission to use it in Yellowstone during the winter... I also wonder how well the heater works.
January 9, 201214 yr The exterior made me smile, but the Ford Pinto air cleaner housing perched on top of that pea-shooter carburetor cracked me right up!
January 11, 201214 yr Would be great for going up and down my Mom's driveway in Ohio in the winter (7/8th of a mile long, gravel).
