January 9, 201214 yr By comparison, the C-class has a 12.4cf trunk, the current 3-series coupe 11cf, new sedan 10cf.
January 9, 201214 yr So 1 and 2.4 cubic feet are about the size of an amazon box. I think increments of 5 cubic feet are significant in trunk size. Also, the rear seats fold flat. If you are going on a trip that requires suitcases, I promise nobody is going to be riding in the back.
January 9, 201214 yr I'm finding myself far less interested in the ATS itself, than I am in what else Alpha can give us.
January 9, 201214 yr Obviously, Alpha is going to be the Epsilon of the RWD platforms at GM. Borger told us about this a long time ago.
January 9, 201214 yr trunk way too small-big problem, that rwd suspension really chews up the space, eh.... If trunk space is really a concern for you, I can direct you across the showroom to the XTS. Trunk space there is huge. Not by my standards. The XTS also suffers from tall, stubby trunk syndrome.

The XTS easily rivals any car out there still in production in trunk room.
January 9, 201214 yr The ATS trunk is with in 1-3 ft of the others in class. I have yet to hear any one complain that their 3 series or Audi trunk is too small. That is not something that is a major concern in this class. If you need more trunk space you need to move up in car size.
January 9, 201214 yr It's just like beating all competitors but one on base engine horsepower isn't enough either. If you need more power, then buy the turbo.
January 9, 201214 yr The trunk is small, but that wouldn't turn me away. The ugly decklid and spoiler is what I don't like, and the back of the car does look a bit short and stubby, but many cars now have short stubby trunks. ATS on the inside and outside overall looks pretty good but it doesn't look great, I like it, but don't love it. It is good that the car is lightweight and RWD, but I'm not convinced it is better than the Germans yet. The German cars give off a more expensive look and feel, and until the ATS gets on the road, we don't really know how it matches up against the 3-series.
January 29, 201214 yr ATS looks fantastic! Kudos to Cadillac's design team! It's great to hear of additional interior color selections! I can't wait to see the ATS Convertible when it comes out! Edited January 29, 201214 yr by ClassyEldo

Sorry they killed the convertible for now. It may be a roadster now. The Convertible may show up as a next CTS and I am sure on the Alpha Camaro.
