January 17, 201214 yr Cheers or Jeers: 1977 Olds Omega SX Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item4cfd7dd497 Up for auction due to financial needs is my 1977 Olds Omega SX coupe. New interior except carpet. Nice rust free x body and just like a nova ss without the big price. Has the factory 305 chevrolet motor along with factory bucket seats, console and gauge package. Also has front and rear sway bars. This Omega also has the factory tilt steering wheel and vintage 80's pioneer supertuner. Still works. Has A/C but currently inoperable. All components there. Doors shut tight and do NOT have the x body sag they are known for. Always gets thumbs up whenever out for a cruise. Nice paint and nice straight body. My intentions were to put a 400+hp crate motor in it, but finances dictate different. This is the nicest x body GM I have found at an affordable price. Try to find a GM X body with factory buckets and floor shift console at this price. None are available.
January 17, 201214 yr Neat...like the white & blue inside and out. I rarely ever see Novas of that generation, let alone other X-bodies...
January 17, 201214 yr You've got the beefy white-letter radials, Olds Super Stock rims, the Olds 4-spoke sport wheel & a T-grip shifter, even the 2-tone job which breaks up the bland bodysides, PLUS it's a relatively clean coupe bodystyle.... then you get around the the 'phone-it-in' FRT & RR fascias and no engine under the hood... and it all sags like a pin in a balloon. Jeers
January 17, 201214 yr This is the kind of stuff I like... don't see many Omegas, especially SXs. When these first came out ('75-'79 X-bods), I used to think they were such Grandma cars. Now compared to nearly everything made today, they are beautiful and bad ass. X-body sag? I've never seen an X-body actually sag... only super worn (and unfortunately welded in) hinges making the doors sag.
