Cheers or Jeers: 27,000 Mile 1963 Buick Special

I am selling my 1963 Buick Special 2 door post coupe. The car has the original numbers matching 215 CID Aluminum V8 engine, Auto trans, the optional 15" wheels with dog dish caps and trim rings, and factory AM radio. This car was the base model, with rubber floor mat (no carpet) only one visor on driver side. Except for the paint, tires and battery, the car is all original. The car drives just like when it was new. Tight steering, engine runs great, no leaks no smoke, transmission operates great.

I bought the car from the original owner in New Jersey in 1984, with 17000 miles on it. At that time, the car had it's original fawn paint. The car had a very small leak in the left lower corner of the windshield. This allowed water to leak in and become trapped between the rubber floor mat and floor. The floor rusted in that area, not too bad and we repaired it by installing a patch panel. The car had no rust anywhere else on the body, never in an accident and the body is as straight as an arrow.

The car has been in Los Angeles ever since.

The dash is like new. The seat trims are showing wear, as is the rubber mat. The headliner is like new, door panels are great. The car runs and drives like new could be driven anywhere.

If you needed a mint driveline for another project, this may be for you.

I will store the car up to 30 days at no charge while you arrange shipping if needed. $500 deposit to paypal within 24 hours of winning bid. Cashiers check for the balance, due withen 7 days. Clear California title, registered until March 2012.

Price $3,295

Cheers from me, too. Wish it was still tan, but the green also suits it. This is something I'd drive as therapy.

Neat..but very plain for a Buick...

Anyone up for a 455 STG1 gasser here? :D

Keep the paint as is and slip a Buick Turbo V6 under the hood...
