March 9, 201214 yr JEERS As much as I love these trucks, the 5.3 was the wrong engine to put in this truck from the start. The later models with the 6.0 V8 would be worth the other issue with this truck. PRICE, they are asking is way too high. Love the color.
March 10, 201214 yr Yes, they are still asking pretty much the sticker price for the car. It has sat for 8 years with no appreciation.
March 10, 201214 yr I voted Cheers because I love the SSR and hope to one day (sooner rather than later, but that's a financial pipe dream) own one.
March 10, 201214 yr I like the SSR too, but this one isn't the most desirable of configurations and the price is way out of line.
March 10, 201214 yr I don't know the market on these but I'll say this- I'm not surprised to see a brand new 'specialty' (collectible from new) vehicle like this still asking MSRP-esque price. This isn't a mass-market Impala...
March 11, 201214 yr I've followed them off and on for quite a while, and the combination of low-mile examples being out there at about half of this price as well as the fact that it isn't a 6spd., 6.0, or a special edition just makes the price too high. At least right now.
March 12, 201214 yr this is awesome the same way the retro thunderbird is awesome.... you'd love to have one to cruise in, but there were lots of compromises in the vehicle overall, the thunderbird didn't live long enough to see the 5.0L and a 6speed.... this one did get the 6.0L and 6speed option. if they made them now, they could be truely great/fun vehicles... they just were made ....5-10 years to early.
March 12, 201214 yr I like the SSR too, but this one isn't the most desirable of configurations and the price is way out of line. I get what you're saying... I wasn't looking at the price though! Here's a similiar one with 27k on it for $23K: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/2885735164.html I'd go for that before I'd go with the one on eBay (unless I hit the lottery ).
