The image seen here was posted on Ram's Facebook page today. Its a craftily cropped picture of a Ram front end. The picture is part of a series of daily teaser photos leading up to the truck’s April 5 reveal. Ram is calling this campaign “A Giant Awaits.”

So what could this be? Our guess is that will it the new 3.6L Pentastar V6 and eight-speed automatic combo as shown in a SEC filling earlier in March.

We'll find out what "A Giant Awaits" means on April 5th at the New York Auto Show.

I wonder with all the chrome, I have a hard time thinking v6, I wonder if a SRT8 or SRT10 could be shown for the truck crowd.

The SRT cross-hairs would most likely be body color. so i highly doubt it is an SRT model. i think the 3.6 guess is correct.

Of course it's the V6 model. Firstly, the SRT wouldn't be chrome, it'd be body color. Secondly, there's huge market for the V6 model and nearly zero for the another SRT truck. Sure it was cool but that's not where the money is. Don't forget the take rate on the best selling F-150's V6 models handily outsells the V8. In fact the EcoBoost V6 alone outsells the V8 model.

I know the new Limited model was recently announced... could this be a Denali-competitor package from Ram? All that chrome, my eyes!! XD

The grille texture looks like that on the Explorer and some Merc SUVs..

Anyone notice they're revising the badge? Along with the updated V6/8-Speed powertrain combo, I'd say they'll also debut a few minor styling tweaks.

In retrospec I would have to agree that his Chrome Monster is to compete with the Denali. BLING XD BLING XD BLING XD

Interesting...so they are doing a Limted model...they already have a Big Horn version that seems to be like Ford's King Ranch.

They're offering the Laramie Limited model based on the same premise just without all the goofy cowboy stuff. I think that's a great idea, because I don't like the Ford King Ranch nor the Ram LongHorn and Big Horn packages, though they are popular with the truck crowds (the city boy in me doesn't do country). One of the main reasons I like the GMC Denali package - nothing to do with cowboys!! I think Ram realized they can go after more buyers who want top-of-the-line stuff without all the silly cowboy and rodeo "stuff" (not the word I wanted to use ;) ).
