April 24, 201213 yr My mom really wanted the Chrylser version when they came out in '95, wasn't a fan myself. The Chrysler dealer in Hamilton (Mercer County) was playing hardball with my parents, since these were initially hard to come by with all of the options she wanted (loaded, with sunroof). Took them over to Reedman Auto World in Langhorne, PA because I wanted her to see the new Chevy Monte Carlo instead of the Chrysler (purposely walked them in through the Chevy side to see the MC before heading over to the Chrylser showroom). Again, what she wanted in the Chrysler wasn't available, so she test drive the MC. She fell for the maroon LS model in the showroom and several hours later drove home her brand new '95 Monte Carlo LS (that she kept for 10 years). A neighbor ended up with a loaded Avenger later that year and complained to my parents constantly about the problems it had (made my mom glad she bought GM).
