This is a classic 1968 coupe that has 22,500 documented original miles. It is registered with PHS and went through Mecum several years back. There is no rust (Texas car) and in its original state right down to the carpet. This bird has remained garaged and under fleece cover, taken out several times per year for short drives. Interior is very clean with low-back bucket seats, full wood-grained console, T-handle shifter, original AM radio will be included (replaced with aftermarket 1968 correct-fit Custom Autosound stereo with no cutting), and rally clock. All wiring professionally replaced several years back. The body is rust-free with original panels and very straight. Paint, trim, and chrome are very nice. Accented with front spoiler, 350 badges, deck mounted antenna, dual mirrors, and H.O. belt-line stripe. The 4 bbl/350 engine looks and sounds immaculate with a pleasantly deep rumble coming from the true dual exhaust system but not overbearing. This is an All-Numbers-Matching car. The engine is stock, with the exception of an aftermarket chrome air cleaner. The interior is tight and fresh looking in its original state. The rally II wheels were restored with Firestone Supreme red-line radials mounted. This car's history has been very kind and well looked-after to be in this exceptional condition. This is a true gem of a Firebird any collector would be proud of and show ready. All lights and door buzzers work after 44 years. Complete documentation will be included in a hard-bound binder. Opening bid is well below professional appraisal purchased in 2010 for the car placing its value between $49,000-$49,500.

April 28, 201213 yr I thought I spotted something "wrong" with RedBird, but I went and had myself schooled in GM safety features. I thought head restraints and column mounted ignition with locking column were mandatory starting in 1968... they were not, and I ran across a rather exhaustive webpage about F-body head restraints from '67-'69.
April 28, 201213 yr It kind of reminds me of my one Mangers cars. He has an 68 Ram Air III car that was a drag car most of it's life. While it was repainted and gone through it still retains most of the original parts. The interior is perfect.
