So my brother's moving, and I spent the day helping. Part of my duties was to drive his truck from the sold house to the storage facility. Bad move on my part. He's got an '04 Silverado 1500 extended cab Z71, 122k miles, with a 330-horse GM replacement engine and Flowmaster exhaust.

It was like going home. I turn into a blithering idiot when I drive a pickup truck. Why can't I get it out of my system?

I'm OK, no need for a doctor visit, the drive didn't last more than 4 hours. :)

It's just a real comfort to drive a good ol' Chevy pickup.

Have you thought about taking a camping trip to clear your mind?

Nice rig!

I feel the same thing, would like one myself...but with gas a t 4 bucks a gallon and getting worse...ouch!

Meh, gas here is back to $3.59, and with a company car that I drive all week to and from work, it is not as critical as it was for me to be as miserly as possible with fuel. I choose to drive a small 4 cylinder company vehicle, of course.

When gas was cheap, a Saturn of some sort was my primary vehicle. A year ago as it started climbing again I pulled the trigger on an '04 SWB Sierra 5.3 with only 49K, and put a Flowmaster on it as well. Stupid, but man do I love it. :gitfunky:

I get it too, ocnblu (and Camino, and fightingbee). It's a part of who you are, no matter what the price of gas or the price of the truck is, you can't ever separate from. I have test driven many a new car lately, but don't find the same satisfaction as I do behind the wheel of the truck, even the Envoy (however, if the financials were where I needed them to be, that wheel would belong to a brand new Sierra Crew Cab :P ). I am content with keeping the Envoy until I can afford a new pickup truck - here's hoping that the new '15 GMC Canyon will be spacious for my family hauling needs and fuel efficient to boot in 4wd models.

Everyone should have a truck and an SUV. That is just totaly comfort driving with space. :)

I plan to always have at least one SUV. Another Grand Cherokee sooner or later...

Get an SRT8, I can totally see you in that bad boy! :P
