June 12, 201213 yr No way its been in the street for 10 years. In NJ, any vehicle on the street for more than 48 hours is technically abandoned, and has 48 hours to be moved or towed. Anybody in that neighborhood squawks and it gets a big red "move it or lose it" notice. Plus, the ground under that car would have a dirt square under it... and likely rust stains. By its appearance, I also doubt it was left outside with the top down, but I'm less sure of that.

I think Balthy is right about the basic value - but that doesn't mean the car is restorable. But I'm betting that it is as the paint makes me think that this car was a beater in a dry climate. I don't see the quarter rot I would expect in an east coast car. If the frame and floorboards are solid, then this car isn't just worth the price - it's a bargain.
June 13, 201213 yr You could part it out on ebay and make money. Lots of non-rotted chrome there. Glass good, door skins and fenders mostly good, hood good, trunk good, tail lights, grill, some interior bits.

I'd drop a grand into it if I had more room to restore it I wish I had time to go look - just for curiosity's sake. I've got six cars at the house...you have how many? Fortunately, there is no cure for automotive ADD. Here's to having even more cars and projects this time next year!
