April 19, 200619 yr It's a Loooooong story but in a nutshell I have a 1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville sitting on my front lawn right now. As well as two 80s AMCs. A red SX/4 and poop-brown Concord Station wagon parts car. The Coupe Deville has a VERY interesting history involving a funeral parlor, deceased owner and how it was driven for only 7 miles when new and then it sat in a garage for over two decades. Now it has (supposedly) only 29K original miles and yet New England winters have pretty much made it a parts car. There's enough rust on it to plug the hole in the Titanic. Still, just haivng a 1970 Cadillac on your front lawn is cool. I love starring at it. Now I have TWO 2-door hardtops in my driveway. Check it out:
April 19, 200619 yr I knew there was a pic waiting inside this thread, but I had no idea what I might see when I looked. Shame about that Caddy.
April 19, 200619 yr Author The cars all belong to my neighbor Brad. It's a long story involving a family feud, an asshole brother-in-law and a death in the family. For the past two years I've been living here I have been staring at the Coupe Deville and daydreaming of it in flat black with the red grille backlight like in my old Fleetwood Brougham. The car is for sale for $1500 OBO, I happento know that Brad will take $1000 if the person seems like the restoration type and not some deuchebag who would demolition derby it. He knows he can trus me to sell it to the right owner. It MIGHT run if the fuel lines are done but tough to tell. The car has some serious ROT that you can not see in these photos. The SX/4 he wants to keep and the Concorde is a parts car for it. The SX was owned since new by a Midget lady so the seat is raised about 8" so she could see over the dashboard. Seriously! I'm tempted to sell my Camaro, buy the Caddy & drive the wheels off of it in the next few summers and then part it out on ebay when it's not safe to drive anymore... like when the trunk and rear quarters fall off on the highway. Flat balck it would make a sick ride! This, for those of you who do not remember my '86 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, was waht I';m talking about: Edited April 19, 200619 yr by Sixty8panther

April 20, 200619 yr Author You know I can't say for sure, cuz I was just riding by, but I saw a big old car with the same color as this as I passed by coming back from NH..there was a few other old cars in the yard too... Yeah like two 1980s AMCs, a 1977 Cutlass Supreme, 1968 Camaro & a 1984 Datsun. I'm 2.7 miles south of the Nashua N.H. line. Small world. I got the car running today. Guess what? The fuel leak is NOT near the rear axle... it's right by the carb. How do I know? The effin thing caught fire and I had to call the Fire Dept. I almost burned down half the yard! I'm in the middle of a 3,000 piece mailer project and there's more work coming so I got to go for now.

April 24, 200619 yr Author Yeah, but small price to pay for having a car that has more presance and better styling than a brand new $300,000 Rolls Royce or Bentley. Old School* Cadillacs are the Shizz-nik! *as in pre-mid 1970s, esp. 1920s - to - 1968
