Anyone want a 1960 Thunderbird Convertible?

Featured Replies

I'm going over one owned by the guy that owns the Healey race cars getting it ready to be sold.

The car is red with a white top and red/white interior.

Decent driver quality.

I'll post pics at some point.

I'm kind of over the old car thing for the moment...

Now if it were a vintage Alfa GTV, or a Ford Lotus Cortina....yeah....

But it is a sweet looking car, you posted pics before.

It's got one major thing going for it; it ain't white. Seems 75% of the '58-60s were.

Ford didn't even show a non-white T-bird in print ads all thru '58 & '59, and a bunch of the '60 ads featured white, too.

We had a really nice red one like that running around up here for quite awhile....

But yeah, I've seen a bunch of these in white.

It looks almost like this one:

Except that it has wider whites, chrome Kelsey-Hayes/Thunderbird wire wheels, and a Continental kit.

Once I have it all shined-up, I'll post pics of the actual car.

Pretty high-optioned for one of these.

what's the market like on these Camino, or haven't you researched it yet?

Sounds like one hell of a nice car....

I've started to, and it's very strange. Prices seem to be erratic.

The owner paid big bucks for this one back in 2007 - but the pricing seems to be down quite a bit now. I found a very nice fully-restored example priced at $35K. So this one will be a below $30k car.

It's decent enough, but still a driver.

My brother had a white w/ red interior '59 coupe..interesting car. I prefer the '61-63 and '64-66 generations.

He also put a bunch of money into it - the man is going to lose his shirt on this one.

But the buyer should be happy.

Once I have it in shape, I'm going to drive it around a bit, maybe to a few cruise nights - and possibly as a wedding car.

Ha!

I wish.

A kid who used to work for me is getting married in early August - he asked me if I could get a vintage car for them to ride in on the day.

I'm going to give it a shot if the car hasn't sold by then.

And that should be free, why again?

Camino is Job #1.

Well, I'm invited to the wedding - so this could serve as my gift to them.

B&B Landscaper?

ah, he's the only one I met
