I'm looking for the name of the engine, what car it was used in, and what was the unique feature that eventually lead to its downfall?

I find it humorous the starter is the same size as the transmission.

It's a Crosley CoBra ("Copper Brazed") engine...made out of sheet metal instead of cast iron.
