Test drove a new one and thought it was kinda cool at the time. The styling was sort of appealing, for me anyway. Can't remember if these things had that twin stick setup, or if that was just found in the Mitsu-sourced Dodge Clot.

They had a neat looking dash design and they were hardtops, which was a rarity in 1978. Haven't seen one of these or the Challenger in years...

He said "Dodge Clot". :)

Here's a Clot..can't recall the last time I've seen one of these.

Wow. I'd forgotten about that version of the Clot...those picnic goers seem to be impressed with it.

Yes, only the fwd Dodge Colt/Plymouth Champ had the twin-stick 4x2-speed transmission. That era rwd Mitsubishi products (Dodge Challenger/Plymouth Saporro, Dodge Colt, Plymouth Arrow, Dodge D50/Plymouth Arrow pickup) had standard transmissions.

It was kind of fun. You could split shift the thing, just like if you were in an old twin-stick Mack ('cept I don't think you had to double-clutch the Mitsu version).
