August 10, 201213 yr Plymouth Sapporo, Mitsubishi-based sister to the Dodge Challenger of the time. Junk.
August 10, 201213 yr Whee! MCA-Jet! Test drove a new one and thought it was kinda cool at the time. The styling was sort of appealing, for me anyway. Can't remember if these things had that twin stick setup, or if that was just found in the Mitsu-sourced Dodge Clot.
August 10, 201213 yr They had a neat looking dash design and they were hardtops, which was a rarity in 1978. Haven't seen one of these or the Challenger in years...
August 17, 201213 yr Wow. I'd forgotten about that version of the Clot...those picnic goers seem to be impressed with it. Guess I was thinking of this Clot, with its twin stick tranny:
August 24, 201213 yr Wow. I'd forgotten about that version of the Clot...those picnic goers seem to be impressed with it. Guess I was thinking of this Clot, with its twin stick tranny: Yes, only the fwd Dodge Colt/Plymouth Champ had the twin-stick 4x2-speed transmission. That era rwd Mitsubishi products (Dodge Challenger/Plymouth Saporro, Dodge Colt, Plymouth Arrow, Dodge D50/Plymouth Arrow pickup) had standard transmissions.
