I didn't know if I should put it in the thread with the suggestions (so that we don't get off topic for anyone who still wants to offer their suggestions), but I emailed the thread to Lutz.

Basically I emailed him the thread and told him about some of the changes that were suggested, and his response...

"Thank you. Surely too late to make production, but there's always mid-cycle!"

So, it would appear that he at least likes the feedback, even though we won't make an immediate impact. However, I don't see why the wheels couldn't be changed by production time.

I think that we should do this with all of GM's products in the future. If we don't make a difference, oh well, but we should at least try.

Agreed. The wheels can at least make the change before production and most certainly should make the change before production.

But, I've expressed my faults in the G6 shortly after its launch in which we both agreed the interior was the weak point and obviously pointed to the center stack.

However here it is three years later and nothing has changed. I thought three years was the new MCE at GM?

Should have known you'd follow up my response with one of yours.

it seems we thought a lot of things about GM that still aren't so true Josh. i agree with all the comments. wheels need to be changed to something dynamic, if this is the XR model, with the 260 hp supposed sport model, then it should have sporty wheels like the concept's. At least as sporty as what the competition is offering, and the current wheels are not that.

I'm guessing the reason the G6 hasn't gotten a new stack is because they're focusing on the EP II model. That's a terrible excuse, but that's my guess. (It's a MY 2010 BTW).

Oh, an informed, honest opinion?

At least for those who hate the Auras wheels, they can just pick out some nice aftermarket ones and figure that cost into their purchase if needed.

The base ones don't look that bad, although the optional 17" (I suppose) looks like they rehashed the base G6's. The fascia spoke one actually looks a bit like the ones from the concept, slightly.

I think they were trying to look like the CTS-V's, but end up looking like the Sebring.
