Mechanics beat on his Camaro

Featured Replies

Anybody see that story over at Yahoo about the guy that put a recorder in his 2010 SS Camaro? He bought it in for a Tranny noise. Looks like the mechanics beat on ( burn outs etc )it for 20 minutes or so frying the clutch. He is now in a battle with the dealer. Looks like Chevy may or may not get involved. I wonder how prevelent this is with Hi Po cars ??

WOW, I listened to the You Tube and it is amazing.

This is why I am very much a stickler for documenting everything and taking in my auto and knowing how much it is driven and how it is treated.

Unfortunately, a video recording would be much more damning in this case than an audio recording. The guy is most certainly justified in what he did and more than justified in his demands, but legally ... I think he's going to run into more pitfalls than what he bargained for simply because he has an audio file as proof. Just a hunch.

Yes I heard it ..................thats going to hurt.

It happens more than you think. Some of the idiots record themselves and post it on you tube. I saw two guys take a new AMG and post it on the web.

Chevy should be able to come down hard on these dealers and make them responsible and pay for this kind of action. But if GM does too much someone in Washington will call for some investigations and claim GM is the bad guy here.

The dealer did the right thing, too bad the morons in service already caused such a black eye. I wonder if this guy will move on to some other company due to this experiance.

Sad, glad the dealer did the right thing...

Unacceptable and unprofessional. If it is my LS7, they will be getting more than one new orifices rimmed.
