Incredibly sad, and we'll never se cars like that again.

I disagree, we will see better cars, the death of some of our own loved brands will free up dollars for the remaining brands to finally be distinctive.

Yes it has been close to 4 years and you both have a solid right to be skeptical, but lets look at the last four years.

World Economy in a DEPRESSION - No one will convince me that we came out of the 2007 crash in early 2009. The US is only finally getting righted this year and with the large drop in personal debt, the next 4 years are going to be good.

Countries in Europe are imploding, people are still cautious and with this, GM is only now being able to bring to market products that are competitors with the rest of the best. GM is at a starting point for such a large company that now is the time to make sure Chevy, Buick, GMC and Caddy have a solid foundation. We have to make sure our house is built on ROCK not Sand and then we can explore limited production runs of quality individual auto's that meet niche markets that are profitable.

Example, With a solid Stable, I can see taking the Camero base with an ELCamino body to meet the needs of the niche market. Yes it will probably be a bit more expensive than a mass produced auto, but if the quality and package is right, those that love this style of auto will get what they want and GM can build it for a profit not a lose.

This goes for all departments/divisions. Just have to keep the drive on maintaining profitable quality driven products and with that you can then have your niche projects.

GM will get there.

'66 Catalina... what a beauty...

I attended a Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac car show over the weekend (this was formerly a Pontiac-only show). I will be posting pictures in the lounge section soon.

By the way, though this show became a B-O-P combined show this year, a majority of the cars there were Pontiacs and my pics will reflect that.

Very cool, look forward to seeing them.
