Gobble Spots...November 2012

Featured Replies

Oh man, we had a steel-wheel GP wide front too, not for work, just for play and to show it off. My grandfather bought it in poor cosmetic condition, but he sent it out and had it painted and some new stuff put on. Amazing what is still active and available in the John Deere parts catalogue!

Tractors are always cool for everyone. Just something neat about driving one, playing with one. I think it has to do with the open access to the world and no safety nanny devices like in a car. you tr

Heh. You can probably build a brand new 1930 JD tractor from the parts catalog. (I think you can also do it for a '57 Chevy and '65 Mustang too). :)

Say, I wonder if the rest of board is gonna get fed up with our tractor talk?

OK, a real gobble spot: Walking to work this a.m., I was at an intersection waiting to cross. Two identical Volvo V70 wagons, each white with "Thule" carriers on top, passed me going in opposite directions, at exactly the same time.

I didn't know whether that was a good omen or a bad one... :scratchchin:

Saw a white '65 Shelby GT350 in traffic this morning, pretty sure it was the real deal and not a clone.

Saw this afternoon the first new Camaro ZL1 I've seen in the wild, white w/ black wheels...very sharp.

Also saw a Porsche 924 Turbo (the ones w/ the offset hood scoop) in a strange brown, parts of the paint were textured like spackle paint.

Coming home tonight saw an older GMC military truck, one of the olive drab 6 wheeled ones w/ a tarp over the bed...parked on a side street...

I saw a new Volt sitting out in the employee parking lot this a.m. It's black. Don't know whose it is...

Saw a very clean 2001 Dodge Durango RT. Have to say I still very much like those SUV's. :P Course the daughter has a regular 4x4 99.

One of the newly rushed re-done 2013 Civics, on a truckload with other Acura's delivered to our store today.

Interesting how the front and rear, the main parts new on the outside, were completely covered by plastic wrap but not really much else. Seemed intentional almost, and is abnormal for Honda to cover that much.

Saw a couple of ATSes out and about around town this morning...a silver one and a bright red one.

We have a new thread, moltie.
