November 6, 201213 yr I'm curious about the '67 Chevy pickup in this picture: It appears to be a Bill Mitchell special project. It has many design/styling features that were not on the production model. Does anyone have any information about it, or additional pictures? Thanks!
November 6, 201213 yr I'm guessing the Camaro and C-10 were shown with that Corvette concept (or was it a CERV?). I would find out what year that concept was shown, then google "GM show cars" or "GM concept cars" and then the given year. They're pretty cool looking in black and white... any color photos? EDIT: that is the 1967 Astro I concept. Edited November 6, 201213 yr by ocnblu
November 6, 201213 yr Not sure if the picture will translate, but it is called the Golden Cameo, a show truck circulating in 1967 to mark the 50th anniversary of Chevy trucks the following year, 1968. It has hidden headlights and an SS grille. Pretty sweet! Edited November 6, 201213 yr by ocnblu

November 7, 201213 yr Author It sure is, and I like how Chevy stylists were trying to bring some of the car styling to the full-size pickups back in the '60s. It's also nice to see that this was a "SS" model, way before trucks were ever considered to be that sporty. It would have been a cool feature to see that grille with the hide-away headlights make production, I don't think any truck ever had that feature.
November 7, 201213 yr That is a great-looking vehicle, and I love the concept. Here's another one of my favorite pickups--though it ain't as purty as the Golden Cameo. 1964-65 Dodge Custom Sports Special, with an available 365 HP, 426-S (wedge, not Hemi) engine: Edited November 7, 201213 yr by NeonLX
November 7, 201213 yr I love that Truck, It would be cool to have a matching set of Current Model SS Truck with SS Camero. A complete family package so that the man has his performance in a Truck with the wife buzzing along in a camero.
