OK, why didn't somebody tell me about this?

...if they had, I would have kept my eyes closed more.

I have YET to see a Dodge Dart on the road, but I got accosted by this a few minutes ago:

I wonder what it looked like before it crashed into a wall.

I think the badge on the back said, "IQ". Ha-Ha. Get it?

Wish I hadn't quit drinking.

Clearly that was missing from the mgmt team when the discussion about names came up.

Well I didn't say anything because I assumed you already had a doorstop.

Ya, the Scion iQ...at least we don't get Aston Martin version here (yet). Coming home from work one afternoon back in the summer I found myself at a light with a Prius in front of me, an iQ beside me on one side, a Smart diagonally in front, a Mitsu i behind me, and a Leaf on the other side...like being the odd man out in a green car peloton..

As a cyclist I take offense to your use of the word peloton. In order to be part of a peloton you have to be fast.

I've seen three new Darts versus one of those abominable tin trash cans. It's good to know I live somewhere somewhat sane.

I will remember to pluck you out of my suburban grill along with the rest of the cyclist that think they belong on the roads with auto's. :duck:

Truly you've experienced a descent into one level of hell.

It's funny (or maybe it ain't), but I'm "conservative" in an older sense of the word, as in I try to conserve--I don't drive the car unless absolutely necessary; I take public transit, bike or walk whenever possible. I HATE wasting miles on the car by commuting and fortunately, I have great bus service nearby. But I'm also an old redneck in many ways. Cars like the Prius, Leaf and so on vaguely piss me off. I haven't thought about why that is too much, but I think it might have to do with the fact that drivers of such vehicles get to feel all self righteous about their enlightened approach to automobiles or whatever, even though their vehicle still requires all of the infrastructure of any old automobile--millions of acres of paving for streets, highways and parking lots, huge concrete edifices called parking ramps hogging prime downtown real estate, and then all of the maintenace that goes along with this pavement and concrete--awful salt mixtures spread across thousands of miles of roads in the winter, all of the runoff, etc. And yeah, the Prius, Leaf et. al. still need to get their power from somewhere, and that power has to be generated, whether it be directly from fuel or indirectly via the electrical grid.

Whatev. I'm just an old dude who likes his internal combustion engines and enjoys standing on the throttle once in awhile just to experience a bit of a rush that has echoes of a long-ago past, when gasoline was cheap and plentiful (but so was pollution!).

Other than the FRS, the wshole Scion lineup is pretty much a fleet of rolling turds...
