I actually like the 2014 dash the best!

2004 to 2012 was not really much different, but I do like the 2014 looking at it in this perspective.

I think that's a Raptor dash representing Ford.

I like the 2014 GMC dash because everything is up high for easy operation.

Ford-inspired gauge cluster, and the overall dash layout and shape has similarities to the Titan and Ram.

Thanks for the side-by-sides, Roger. Rolling back & forth over then all, I am liking the GMC the best... tho I would certainly will welcome an in-person inspection. Has a strong rugged look, but ergonomics can only be judged by interaction.

I see the GMC as fine. It is close to the Ram but I think a little more higher grade looking.

The key is it needs to be easy on the eyes for the average driver who uses his truck as a car and easy to use for a guy who is using it as a work truck and may have gloves on.

Not a fan of the others. The Asian trucks look cheap and the Ford looks overdone in cheap plastic. It also looks too flat and 2 dimentional.

Funny you say that because the's the top shelf GMC interior compare dto a lower level Ram interior, probably SLT.

Ram still looks like the highest quality and best layout, with the largest rotary knobs and easy to use, responsive infotainment system. Also lacks fake wood, which is always nice, and has the nicest gauges. I think in the long run it will age the best aesthetically.

As has been noted before, the GMC interior looks like what someone from 2005 thought a 2012 interior would look like. I hate teh expanse empty plastic where those two small knobs are next to the driver's vent. The knobs look randomly placed there too. In some ways I prefer the old uplevel dash, although it does look dated and bland.

Kudos to GM though for not going the Ford route and using 14,000 buttons, and instead having some rotary knobs for some of the controls. Rotary knob > button.

The Nissan and Toyota dashes are laughable, while the Ford's is busy and looks plasticy in that photo.

WOW, Love the comparison of all the dashes.

Best are GMC/Chevy and then RAM.

Worst is a tie with Toyota / Ford.

The others are just ugly and pathetic. Clearly no one really spends any time reviewing their dashes for a quality interaction experiance.

i have to say, the lack of colour is what kills it for me EDIT: the new GM (in the spy photos i was hoping that there would be two dashes again/ to me the 13 is an upgrade from the low tier dash, but forgets about the SUV and high end dash)

just not how they did it in the avalanche where it isn't straight, held on well, and it is matched with fake brushed aluminum.

The old uplevel dash had a simple, elegant look, but I preferred the functionality of the lower-level dash. The new dash looks like it was inspired by the Camaro in a trucky kind of way, but parts could be better integrated. One thing that bugs me is that the latch of the glove compartment is in the center of the door rather than on the far left, where the driver could reach it.

The GMC is similar in style layout of the Dodge but looks much less cluttered and is more stylish.

The Dodge console is too wide.

The others all look like they came out of a truck while the GMC has the merits of a truck dash like larger knobs but looks as if it could have come from a Buick. That today is not a bad thing.

Wonder if the SUVs could get a more car-like dash while the trucks get the work-vehicle-like dash. And... I hope the Escalade gets a 100% different interior than the SUVs

Considering how much time a person spends in their auto's going to and from work, out to explore the world and play. The interior of an auto is very important to allot of people.

Well, I'm going out on a limb here and say that the reason there's not two dashes in the K2xxx pickup is because the SUVs will have their own, more car-like, designed dash (a modern take of the current uplevel dash). I always thought it would have been better for GM to use the "basic" dash in all GMT-900 pickups (make it more uplevel looking in the SLT/Denali/LTZ models) and kept the uplevel dash for the SUVs to differentiate the two products more. I'll also say that the Denali/High Country models may use the SUV interior in the pickups to offer the luxury-look there.

We'll see if I'm right sometime in 2013

I'll stick with my 11's lower level dash with the floor console. I don't really care for the new trucks interior except for the door panels, seats, and gauge cluster.
