Finally Saw a Dart!!!

Featured Replies

One of the current models. It was a black R/T, covered in salt from the craptacular streets we have here after our 20" snowfall last week (4" more expected tomorrow). Even got to hear it, as the dude took off from a stop sign.

Nice to finally see one in the real world.

I have seen a couple darts at the mall in the last week but have yet to actually hear one in the wild.

Very cool, does it have a decent growl?

Saw two today. A navy blue Limited model and a day-glo green Rallye.

My aunt bought herself a Dart for Christmas after her 11 year old Nissan Sentra finally succumbed to head-gasket issues. I had to tell her of my jealousy. They are a really appealing compact, especially with the Abarth engine and in the below color.

Still haven't seen one around.

It did sound pretty decent...dude wound it up tight in first, though I'm not sure why, as there was another car in front of him. Car looks really nice in person (still haven't gone to the stealer to look yet).

Back home tonight to Philly after a day in Delaware, and there's a dark gray mid to upper level Dart parked outside my place. Even better looking car up close, very well detailed and proportioned. Still a shock this is a Dodge small car...hopefully it gets sales traction regardless of that fact.

I am mystified and troubled by the Dart's sales issues. It's a good looking car, in and out, imo. I haven't really heard the supposedly growly cool 1.4L yet, but I am willing.

I will have to say it comes down to marketing / advertising. I have yet to hear any radio ad's for the dart or even seen a television ad. I would say Dodges biggest failure to date is the lack of any advertising. If they wanted to have it start out slow, then they have succeeded. Otherwise, not really sure what the F@#k they are doing.

Correction: The Dart I saw was a "Rallye", not an R/T.
