Volvo Announces December Sales

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Jan. 3, 2013) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 6,150 units, a 15.1 percent increase from December 2011 and the best since 2007. For the year, U.S. sales ended 1.3 percent higher than 2011 with a total of 68,117 units sold.

In 2012, the S60 sports sedan, one of two midsize luxury vehicles to earn IIHS' inaugural Top Safety Pick+ award, was the top seller with 23,356 units sold. The award-winning XC60 crossover finished the year in the second spot with 19,139 units sold, an impressive 48 percent increase versus 2011.
