A guy doing a restoration on an XJ-12 just looked at it and is fairly certain he will be taking it as a donor car since it is far more sound overall than the one he's been working on.

Interestingly, the plan includes repowering it with a Benz diesel.

That is awesome, always great to sell an item that can be put back into use by another. If he does finish the project, it would be cool to see how it turned out. Try and get some pics from the guy when he is done and post them.

We'll see.

I'll just be happy to get final confirmation that they are taking it tonight or tomorrow.

The car would be going to Allentown.

Hopefully this will mean an end to the crying jags you've been suffering from. Good news.

I got phone confirmation today that they intend to take the car. It should leave by the end of next week - hopefully sooner.

The guy promises to send me pics of the project.

Yeah, something like that.

Plus, I now will have room to work on Mothertruck.

It requires serious acreage when you have things apart.

Does he know Russian?

LOL@ Z

No, he doesn't know Russian, but we had a good laugh over it while he was checking out the car.

Thanks for the good wishes, this has been a long time coming.

Congrats! Sell the Jag and the Tahoe and you've got some Mothertruck project money...

You took the thought right out of my head!!

But now that means I need to step-up my lottery ticket buying so I can afford to have Camino do the Mothertruck how I want it :P

I'll have to make sure there's enough leftover to buy a GMC grille, emblems and other trim from LMC Truck to convert it over :P

Shouldn't be a problem since I have an NOS grille, fender emblems, and horn button you can sell to the Chevy guys!

Still waiting for the guy to get down here and pick-up the Jag - waiting is getting a bit old.
