Lost my grandfather overnight. He was 96, and my last remaining grandparent. I'll miss him.

Heartfelt condolenses, Bill. You seem to hold well onto the important strains of the things that made an individual in your life significant, no doubt you will do the same here.

I too have a single grandfather left, alas the family has split and contact was broken off. He's 97.

My thoughts go out to you and your family. I understand the pain and loss of such a loved one. I have a 96 year old grandma, all that is left from both sides so I truly feel for your loss. Hang in there as I know you have a life time of amazing memories.

I'm sorry to hear that, my condolences.. Alas, all my grandparents have been deceased for 30+ years. I lost a favorite Aunt Thursday..I'm in Kentucky for the funeral..she was 88 w/ Alzheimers, saw her last about 10 years ago. Happy memories of spending time w her and my uncle as a kid, riding in their Buicks. A positive is I get to see some cousins that I haven't see in a while this weekend.

It is always a sad reminder of our own mortality. Thanks, Moltie, and same to you. I hope your visit is productive.

All my grandparents and parents are now gone. Some outstanding gearheads in that hallowed group, too.
