David FeltStaff Writer Alternative Energy - CheersandGears.comWednesday, February 13, 2013 So January of 2013, the gov passed the Family and Business Tax Cut Certainty Act of 2012. There are many different benefits for various groups, but the nice focus on this is the tax credits for Alternative Fuels. Taxpayers may claim a 30-percent credit for the cost of installing qualified clean-fuel vehicle refueling property to be used in a trade or business of the taxpayer or installed at the principal residence of the taxpayer.209 The credit may not exceed $30,000 per taxable year per location, in the case of qualified refueling property used in a trade or business and $1,000 per taxable year per location, in the case of qualified refueling property installed on property which is used as a principal residence. You can get all the details starting on page 81 for alternative energy, course you can also find other nice tax breaks too. Check it out and sound off on your thoughts of these incentives. February 15, 201313 yr Author EPA Reform I agree is much needed, but then changing anything anymore in our gov seems to be political suicide and everyone is only worried about keeping their golden parachute job than to actually work for the people of this country and make real change. At least this gives home owners and businesses a way to save money for using alternative fuels.
