February 14, 201313 yr See? The VF in SS trim looks much better than the Calais-V. The more recent 'chops were close, but they all positioned the grille and bumper details down too low. Also, the SS's body trim modifications make the car look a little more athletic and taut. The VF SS doesn't lose as much from the VE as the Calais did, although I still do tend to prefer the VE's asthetics. Overall though, this isn't bad by any means.
February 14, 201313 yr Looks fine to me and most others on most forums. I get the feeling this may see 7.0 liters. Too many also are going to have to adjust for the price as they are thinking way too low. They many things that will be included here will make a great performance car but it will also add to cost.
February 14, 201313 yr What can I say? I hate every aspect of the exterior design. From the nasty headlights, to the black rims, to the Bangle-butt. But then, the competition isn't much to look at either.
February 14, 201313 yr Nice car, but remindes me of what Ford did with Mercury and when they brought out the Maurader. Close but no cigar.
February 14, 201313 yr I don't know, I thought Mercury did a pretty good job with the Marauder. It was no Impala SS, but it looked pretty good for what it was.

February 15, 201313 yr Not sure about the radio controls in the center stack, but lose the black rims and keep the manuals trans and this car is interesting to me.
February 15, 201313 yr I'm with Camino, the original design was better than the successor. It just seems more pure and purposeful.
February 15, 201313 yr Thinking on this, I guess one could say they have given a bland design that allows Tuners to come out with all kinds of Body kits and Performance modifications. So the After Market should do really good. But then why not make your top of the line car more distinct in the first place.
February 15, 201313 yr I like it, though I think I like the front fascia of the Calais more...a little chrome doesn't hurt. Don't care for the overdone lower front fascia. I'd like to see this in the '14 Corvette Lime Rock Green color w/ titanium color wheels... Edited February 15, 201313 yr by Cubical-aka-Moltar
February 15, 201313 yr Oh god Body kits. For every good one we get 2 dozen kits that look like a joke car from Top Gear. I can see it how that someone will offer some silly oversize wing for the back. Lets pray it is not GM. So far the comment are generally all positive. We will hear a lot of pissing and moaning once the price is given as so many have a silly notion this car will be $35K-$40k and they will be disappointed as it already was made clear it will be more than the GXP G8 that was already that price.
February 16, 201313 yr The SS official reveal is tommorow at 1:05 EST from Daytona according to a post on FB
