February 18, 201313 yr Well, it says Plainsman on the side, so I'm guessing it's the Chrysler Plainsman wagon from 1956. Is that the one with the cow fur seats? Edited February 18, 201313 yr by ocnblu
February 18, 201313 yr I seem to recall seeing in a Hemmings mag in recent years that this car still exists and has been restored.
February 18, 201313 yr Author It's for sale and looking beaten half to death: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1956-Chrysler-Ghia-Concept-Car-Station-Wagon-Virgil-Exner-Show-Car-/230930021330?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item35c4807bd2
February 18, 201313 yr Body and chrome look ok but the interior has been trashed...looks restorable, though.
February 19, 201313 yr Is pretty beat up for only 50K miles. I never cared for this one (tho it has a host of interesting details), but like any other period concept, it deserves restoration.
February 19, 201313 yr Ugly but intersting and I agree with Balthazar, it deserves restoring to take it's proper place in the history bucket of auto's,
September 16, 201312 yr That rise in the roof only adds to the ugly duckling nature. Agree it has that old Dodge, Plymouth look to it. I do love all things classic so even though its odd, would be an interesting restoration and most likely you would get "looks" tooling around in that.
