I just got back from the New York Auto show, and besides having a bad driving/parking experience it was a lot of fun. I have to say the Aura and the Sky that I sat in were pretty crappy. I don't know if it was just a show car or what, but it was total junk. Most of the other GM cars I was pretty impressed with though. The Camaro was truly a work of automtive art, and was even better than in pictures. I'll probably post some pics a little bit later. Any other questions?

can you elaborate on what you found to be unappealing/appealing in the Aura?

A lot of the interior materials were extremely flimsy and very plasticky. I'm not usually one to pick on this kind of stuff, but it was pretty bad. It could have been just because it had gotten so much abuse at the show, too.

corvette_dude, I was at NYIAS today too! (for the second time this week)

I too, sat in both the Aura and Sky. I have a full-feature article in the works, so stay tuned. 8)

You'll See Soon enough.

The sky? O well....the sky and aura has taken a lot of abuse for over a week now by obnoxious people who "accidently" rip things apart...plus the aura IS still a preproduction vehicle/showcar therefore stuff is thinned and cheapened becaue no one is going to use the car

If they really did cheap out the materials because it's a show model then that's not very smart by GM. I'm guessing several people crossed it off their lists if they thought it was cheap when they sat inside it. Of course the real thing could be cheap too so I guess it might not matter...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

Yeah...it's a high possibility..I'm sure if GM wanted to save their behinds, they wouldn't do that to the brand possibly saving them from (in godly voice)CHAPTER 11! dum dum dum
