The number of natural gas-propelled vehicles around the world increased to 16.2 million by mid-2012, up from 1.3 million in 2000. India and China’s gas-propelled vehicles totalled 2.7 million vehicles together as of mid-2012, up from 16,000 in 2000. And the International Association of Natural Gas Vehicles (IANGV), a pro-industry group, estimates that there will be 65 million natural gas-fueled vehicles on the road by 2020, a whopping growth rate of 19% per year.

The previous engine only delivered 94 hp. It has been named the "Best Seven-Seater" in the German Motor Club Environmental Car List for five years in a row.

The infrastructure just isn't there, unless you don't mind filling up next to taxi cabs and buses.

Interesting how those Opels can run on CNG and gasoline..didn't know that was possible in the same engine...

Sure, GM makes BiFuel CNG/Petrol trucks and vans. Pretty much any auto can be converted to run on CNG. Opel has a conversion option for the Opel Adam that would be awesome.
