Yes, the time has finally come for new tires for the Intrepid. These will actually be the first brand new, complete set I've bought for a car.

After much research I've decided to try Falken Azenis PT722 A/S 245/45/R18 tires. These are V Rated, Ultra High Performance All Season Tires. I chose these because they seem to have excellent dry grip, good wet grip, and excellent wear. I'm not concerned about snow performance, since the car is stored during the winter. I'm super excited to get these on next week and take the car up my favorite driving road with its new R/T rotors and ceramic pads.

I'll give first impressions next weekend.

Sounds Very cool, I myself have an expensive week coming up at I have to replace tires on the Trailblazer SS, Durango and Escalade ESV.

I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the Falken especially since the only real bad thing I read is they are noisy. Course that is very subjective so as I said will be interested in hearing what you think after your road trip.

For me, unless something else screams better, I will probably stay with the Goodyear on the Trailblazer and escalade as they always give me a solid 50K miles on a set for AWD. The Dodge will go with the BF Goodrich AT as they are always solid for 85K miles or more.

I'm probably going to be springing for a new set of Michelins on the CR-V in a week or 3. Only got 30,000 miles out of the 80,000 tread wear life rating, so hopefully Michelin will be picking up most of the tab.

They were mounted today, Friday it gets its alignment and inspection then its off to a driving road!

Got some Bridgestone Revo 2's for my Silverado a couple of weeks ago. So far, so good. I lean towards BFGoodrich Comp T/As or Bridgestone Potenzas for my cars.
