November 21, 201312 yr Has anyone else taken a look at the pres release fro tne Lexus LF-NX crossover concept. Here's a link if you haven't seen it yet: http://pressroom.toyota.com/releases/lexus+2013+tokyo+motor+show+lf-nx+advanced+crossover+concept.htm Overall it is one of the must visually interesting concepts I've seen inn some time and the headlight styling is superb. Aggressive lines and an athletic stance make it a real stunner. But...the front grille needs to go. It appears overly large and cartoonish. According to Toyota "it is a strong interpretation of the Lexus spindle grille" but in this case there must have been a problem in translation. Anyway, thoughts? Do you guys think we'll ever actually see this on the toad or at a dealership?
November 21, 201312 yr Interesting, I can see aspects of this showing up on models in the Lexus family but the over all complete package is too Anime / cartoonish and you are right that front grill is just hideous, but then many have found the Predator Grill to be a bust. I wonder how long they will stick with it before accepting the sales losses and finally updating the nose of their auto's to not be so offensive.
November 21, 201312 yr Author There seems to be a general movement towards abhorrent grilles and silly front fascias that's not confined to the Japanese alone. Take the Ford Edge concept that has been under discussion. Ugh....I don't think we'll see this design element go away anytime soon.
November 21, 201312 yr Author More of those new, Lexus grilles here: https://www.facebook.com/Rvinyl/posts/463866773722335?ref=notif¬if_t=like
November 21, 201312 yr Interesting...seems like they are trying to out do Lamborghini for violently ugly styling.
