So, I just completed a post on Squidoo which is intended to be a brief history of Kia but I'm not really satisfied with it. I have used a few different sites including Wikipedia but just can't find a lot of information on the brand, especially from founding in 1944 to 1974 when the Brisa was made. Any aficionados here have any clues?

Good luck with your research as that is one brand that history has not really documented well IMHO.

Thanks for the encouragement but it certainly does look like a tough one to crack. It's weird too considering that Kia (not Hyundai) was the first Korean passenger car maker. I'm sure there's a lot more information in Korean but, unfortunately, that's one language I don't read.
