January 3, 201412 yr We're just a couple weeks away from the Detroit Auto Show and Kia has given us a glimpse of what they'll be showing. Meet the the GT4 Stinger Concept, a 2+2 sports car. From what we can tell from this teaser shot, the concept will feature the automaker's signature grill and a set of vertical LED headlamps along either side. There is also a cooling vents for the brakes and carbon fiber front splitter. More intriguing is what's under the hood - a turbocharged 2.0L (we're thinking four-cylinder) that makes 315 horsepower and sends it to the rear wheels. January 3, 201412 yr Reminds me of the ugly Honda S2000 sports car. Over revving junk. I know there is a market for sitting on the ground sports cars but they just do nothing for me.
January 4, 201412 yr 315 hp sent to the rear wheels has me intrigued. I am interested to see what it looks like at least. In a world where 9 out of 10 new cars are FWD sedans with a 4 cylinder it is nice to see a RWD sports car every once in a while.
January 4, 201412 yr 315hp is nothing for the 2.0 Ecotec from 7 years ago to accomplish, so I see no reason Hyundai can't produce the same.
January 4, 201412 yr Right, yet Chevy doesn't have a 4 cylinder rear wheel drive car. The Camaro is getting ever more expensive, who knows if the Mustang will jump in price. This Kia could be a nice alternative to the Toyota GT86 (which is what it should be called, not Scion FRS).
January 4, 201412 yr ...and some of us continue to wait while the bright light of the Code130RS fades. This Kia sounds interesting so far, I hope it is not too far out in design, and that it comes to market.
